 The Heaters 1981 - 1983

A gig in Widness, can't remember the name of the place

In 1982 I met the Jones brothers, Steve and Ian. I can't remember how this came about as I seam to have forgotten half my life.

Along with Macc on keys we gigged around the Cheshire area in the early Eighties culminating with a gig at the Victoria Hall in Stoke as part of the Stoke Musicians Collective, we also had a track on the long forgotten album "Cry Havock" which was released by the same people.

I lost touch with Steve and Ian for almost 30 years but just recently in 2013 I made contact with them again, all thanks to Facebook :)

At the same time as playing in the Heaters I was i a club band with Glyn Gibson and Danny O'Neil, we were called "Giantswood Lane" which was the name of a road in Congleton where Steve from the Heaters lived.

Steve was also in the band but on this occation his place was taken by Joanna Darlington who stepped in when Steve couldn't make it.

This photo was taken in a club somewhere in Stoke and was the first outing for my brand new Sonor Phonic drum kit
