This was my first venture into music, My mum and dad bought me a clarinet for my 14th birthday and along with Mark Hodgson on trumpet we formed our first band at school.

These photos were taken a few years later after I had left school, I was 18 in these photos and this is us at the Bears Paw in Warmingham where we had a fornightly residency.

The band consisted of :-

Myself on clarinet, Mark Hodgson, trumpet, John Berry, sax, Geoff Hodgson, drums, Roger Farrington, piano, ???????, banjo, ???????, Double Bass, ???????, Vocals
